It all started when...

Robert Brown is an experienced partner level professional who has more than 25 years of experience, mostly gained in a professional services environment. He also has spent more than two years working at a senior level in the internal audit department of a well-known global insurance and reinsurance organization. Robert is an adaptable professional and has proven that he can apply his expertise to numerous organizations in different sectors and in different regions.  

 

His particular skills and areas of expertise include: Strong familiarity with the principles of investment management and optimization; sound knowledge of current International Financial Reporting Standards; Corporate Governance Best practices, including the Bahrain Corporate Governance Code; knowledge of current technology and best practices such as Cobi. Familiarity with ERP’s such as SAP, Oracle and Great Plains; performing corporate finance activities like feasibility studies, preparation of IPO documentation and due diligence. Familiarity with Financial Services Rules and Regulations, including the CBB rule book and Basel III.  

 

Robert’s past experience includes:  

  • Providing audit and accounting services to insurance and asset management organizations  

  • Audit services to banking, insurance, transportation, oil and gas, retail and the government sector. 

  • Advisory and consulting services to the hospitality industry.  

  • External audit services to numerous clients in progressively senior roles, including as signing partner, client relationship partner and quality assurance partner.  

  • Corporate finance assignments, ie due diligence and valuation assignments 

  • Providing internal audit services to numerous organizations, including full outsourcing, co-sourcing, IT internal audit, internal audit quality assurance reviews and training.  

  • Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Planning.  

  • Designing and implementing Enterprise Risk Management programs for IT clients including ongoing health checks, design of application controls and design of security standards/structure.  

  • Development and delivery of training programs, both internally and to clients.
